Mexican Petty (Tikki)

Ingredients:-

  1. 1.5 cup of bake beans (can be use boiled rajma)
  2. ¼ cup of fine chopped onion
  3. ¼ cup of mozzarella cheese
  4. 2 teaspoon fine chopped jalapenos (can be use vinegar pickle chilli)
  5. 1 cup of refined flour (maida)
  6. 1 nos. of egg (can be use slurry(mixture of equal quantity of flour and starch) with seasoning for vegetarians)
  7. 1 cup of bread crumb (if you use egg than add seasoning in bread crumb)
  8. Oil for deep fry
  9. 2 Nos. of Oregano Sachet
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Pepper to taste

 Preparation method:-

  1. After cooling in refrigerator for half an hour, mash dry beans (rajma) like smooth dough and add seasoning (salt, pepper, 1 oregano sachet) in it;
  2. Mix onion, cheese, jalapenos for stuffing and add seasoning in it;
  3. Stuff cheese mixture into mash bean and assemble like tikki;
  4. Assemble more petties with remaining mixture as given;
  5. Dust refined flour on it, dip in egg or slurry then roll in bread crumb and deep fry;
  6. Serve hot with salsa sauce.
