Margherita Pizza
Ingredients for dough:-
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1-¼ teaspoon of yeast
- 2 teaspoon of sugar
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 3 cups of refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoon of veg oil
Ingredients for pizza sauce:-
- 1 cup of tomato puree
- 2 nos. of garlic cloves
- 5-6 basil leaves finely chopped
Ingredients for Pizza:-
- Fresh mozzarella cheese (easily available in market) cut
into round slices
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil for drizzle
- 1 nos. of tomato in round slices
Preparation method for dough:-
- Take warm water
and mix with yeast, sugar, salt, oil and rest for 5 min.
- Take flour in a
dough try and set it as well and put yeast water mixture in it
- Use a fork for
mixing flour and water constantly
- Take the
mixture knead the dough as scratch-fold-turn again and again by hands for 5
min.
- Rest the dough
for at least an hour in a warm place
Preparation
method for Sauce:-
- In a saucepan
put puree, garlic, basil leaves and cook for 5 min.
- Set aside it (Margherita
pizza sauce)
Preparation method for pizza:-
- Starch the dough using hand or rolling pin like a roti
- Put pizza sauce on it and spread all around the dough
- Put tomato slices on it and put mozzarella slices on tomato
slices
- Sprinkle salt, pepper & drizzle olive oil
- Bake into preheated oven at 275 F for 20 min. or the pizza
crust is golden brown
- Garnish with basil leaves.
