Margherita Pizza

Ingredients for dough:-

  1. 1 cup of warm water
  2. 1-¼ teaspoon of yeast
  3. 2 teaspoon of sugar
  4. ½ teaspoon of salt
  5. 3 cups of refined flour (maida)
  6. 2 tablespoon of veg oil

Ingredients for pizza sauce:-

  1. 1 cup of tomato puree
  2. 2 nos. of garlic cloves
  3. 5-6 basil leaves finely chopped

Ingredients for Pizza:-

  1. Fresh mozzarella cheese (easily available in market) cut into round slices
  2. 1 pinch of salt
  3. 1 pinch of pepper
  4. 1 teaspoon of olive oil for drizzle
  5. 1 nos. of tomato in round slices

Preparation method for dough:-

  1. Take warm water and mix with yeast, sugar, salt, oil and rest for 5 min.
  2. Take flour in a dough try and set it as well and put yeast water mixture in it
  3. Use a fork for mixing flour and water constantly
  4. Take the mixture knead the dough as scratch-fold-turn again and again by hands for 5 min.
       
  5. Rest the dough for at least an hour in a warm place

Preparation method for Sauce:-

  1. In a saucepan put puree, garlic, basil leaves and cook for 5 min.
  2. Set aside it (Margherita pizza sauce)

Preparation method for pizza:-

  1. Starch the dough using hand or rolling pin like a roti
  2. Put pizza sauce on it and spread all around the dough
  3. Put tomato slices on it and put mozzarella slices on tomato slices
  4. Sprinkle salt, pepper & drizzle olive oil
  5. Bake into preheated oven at 275 F for 20 min. or the pizza crust is golden brown
  6. Garnish with basil leaves.
