Veg Mexican Burger

Ingredients for salsa sauce:-

  1. 01 large nos. of tomato (deseeded finely chopped)
  2. 01 large nos. of onion (finely chopped)
  3. 3-4 nos. of green chili (finely chopped)
  4. 20 Gm of parsley (can be use green coriander stems, finely chopped)
  5. 01 nos. of lemon
  6. 2-3 teaspoon of honey (can be use sugar syrup)
  7. Few drops of Tabasco sauce (optional, easily available in market)
  8. 01 cup of tomato ketchup
  9. 05 Gm of cumin powder (jeera)
  10. 02 pinch of black pepper
  11. 01 sachet of oregano seasoning 
  12. Salt to taste

Ingredients for slaw:-

  1. ½ nos. of cabbage (thinly sliced)
  2. ½ nos. of carrot (thinly sliced)
  3. ¼ cup fresh cilantro (green coriander finely chopped)
  4. ¼ cup of jalapeno (finely chopped)
  5. 01 cup sour cream
  6. 01 teaspoon honey
  7. 1-2 pinch of pepper
  8. Salt to taste

Ingredients for sour cream:-

  1. 01 cup of fresh cream
  2. ¼ cup of yogurt (hung curd)
  3. 02 tablespoon of lemon juice
  4. Salt to taste

Ingredients for burger:-

  1. 01 nos. of burger bun
  2. 01 tablespoon of sour cream
  3. 03 nos. slices of tomato
  4. 02 tablespoon of slaw
  5. 01 nos. of tikki (our veg Mexican petty)
  6. 02 tablespoon of salsa sauce
  7. 3-4 nos. of nacho chips

Preparation method of salsa sauce:-

  1. Mix all chop ingredients in a large mixing bowl (tomato, onion, green chili, parsley)
  2. Add tomato ketchup, lemon juice, honey, tabasco sauce & cumin powder in it.
  3. Mix all well with a help of whisker or fork
  4. Add seasoning (salt, pepper, oregano) mix well & refrigerate for 30 min.

Preparation method of slaw:-

  1. Make an ice bath for slices of cabbage, carrot for at least half an hour;
  2. Take sour cream and mix with mixture of cilantro, jalapeno and honey;
  3. Mix carrot and cabbage into sour cream mixture and mix it well then season with salt, pepper;
  4. Rest in refrigerator at least for half an hour.

Preparation method of sour cream:-

  1. Take fresh cream into a bowl and beat it until thin
  2. Add yoghurt and lemon juice then mix well
  3. Add salt then put for rest in refrigerator for 20-25 min.

Preparation method of assembling burger:-

  1. Take burger bun and slit between into two parts;
  2. Spread sour cream on both slices;
  3. Put tomato slices on bottom side of one slice of bun, put slaw on tomato;
  4. Put Mexican petty on it;(link given at end of the recipe)
  5. Put tomato salsa on tikki;
  6. Put nacho chips on tomato salsa;
  7. Add sour cream on nacho chips;
  8. Cover with another slice of bun;
  9. Serve with salsa sauce and sour cream.
