Colocasia Leaf (Arbi ke patte) Roll

Colocasia Leaf (Arbi ke patte) Roll

Ingredients:-

  1. 2 cup of gram flour (besan)
  2. 10 nos. of arbi leaves (medium size)
  3. ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder
  4. ½ teaspoon of amchur (dry mango powder)
  5. ½ teaspoon of coriander powder
  6. ½ teaspoon of cumin powder
  7. 2 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste
  8. 1 nos. of green chilli chopped
  9. 1 nos. of onion fine chopped
  10. Chat masala to sprinkle
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Water as required

Preparation method:-

  • Firstly cut stem of leaves with the help of knife. Wash well and rest to dry.
  • In a bowl add gram flour, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, green chilli, onion mix with the help of water and convert it into a batter with no lumps.
  •  Place a leaf on a large plate with smooth part of the leave facing downward and spread the batter on its top then place another leaf on it and repeat with process 4-5 leaves by arranging above the other.
  • Fold the ends of leaves first and roll it out with the help of thread
  • Heat water in a steamer and cook in steam for 15 min. on high flame
  • After cooling to room temperature cut them into slices using knife
  • Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry (can be use hot plate or frying pan and shallow fry) them till crisp and brown
  • Sprinkle chat masala and serve it with mint sauce.
