French Bread

Ingredients:-

  1. 300 ML of water/milk
  2. 18 Gm of yeast
  3. 500 Gm of bread flour
  4. 12 Gm of Salt
  5. 18 Gm of sugar
  6. 45 Gm of milk solid/milk
  7. 18 Gm of shortening/fat/oil

Preparation method:-

  • Mix yeast, sugar and double quantity of water/milk
  • Seive/shift flour and make a well in the flour and keep aside all on the slap
  • Keep yeast in the proving chamber for fermentation after mixing for 10 min. at a temperature of 30-40C till bubbles comes at top
  • Remove the yeast and start mixing with the flour little at a time, use the remaining liquid/milk/water, kneading a stuff dough same as per roll
  • When the dough is ready use oil and makes ball, keep in the steel bowl with wet duster for proving 35 min.
  • Remove and punch, remove gas and again make a small ball and keep proving for 30-35 min. for proving.
  • In the third time after removing roll out by dusting refined flour in a torpido shape, grease the baking tray, again keep for 15 min. for proving.
  • Preheat oven at 200C and bake the rolled louf by making a cut at a top for 15-20 min. till done
  • Till half-done give egg wash for shining and cool after well done and use for French toast.
