Sponge
Ingredients:-
- 100 Gm of refined flour
- 4 nos. of egg
- 100 Gm of sugar
- 5 Ml of Vanilla essence
- 1 pinch of color lemon yellow
- 25 Gm of baking powder
- 15 Gm of fat/oil
- 30 Ml of Milk (optional)
Preparation method:-
- Take two steel bowl breaks the eggs, separate egg white and
yolk gently.
- Seive/shift flour with baking powder and keep aside.
- Start whisking egg yolk and egg white in a clockwise
direction mixing sugar powder little at a time
- After 10-15 min. cream fermentation takes place and sugar
get absorb
- Mix vanilla essence, color after combining both mixture in
one bowl
- The whole process is mechanical process of aeriating egg now
fold the sieved flour in the colored mixture gently
- Prepare a grease mold or tray, lined with brown paper and
pour, the butter in the greased mold and keep it immediately in preheated oven
at temperature of 180-200 C for 10-15 min. till light brown and sponge, remove
and let it cool use as required.
