PICKLED ONIONS
Ingredients
Small Onions White
20
White Vinegar 2
cup
Sugar 8
tbsp
Salt 2
tbsp
METHOD
- Peel the small onions. With a knife make a small cut on top of each onion, going through half way to the center.
- Dissolve the sugar in the vinegar and add salt.
- Put the onions in this mixture and keep in a glass bottle.
- It takes two- three days to mature in warm climates and slightly longer in cooler climate.
Note: In case white onions are not available,take small size of ordinary pink onions, remove two layers of outer skin and you can use for good results.
